And whether it\u2019s tips on how to utilize new social media management tools or an analysis of the latest communications disaster, the PR trades do a vital job in keeping our industry up-to-date.<\/p>\n<p>Below, I\u2019ve rounded up my five to-go sites for PR news and industry updates in the US:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.odwyerpr.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>O\u2019Dwyer\u2019s<\/strong><\/a> is always my first port-of-call for PR news. The site blends news on PR companies both big and small, with updates on the latest personnel and account moves. It also has a great roster of opinion writers from across different sectors of the PR community. However, the website could do with a redesign.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.prdaily.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>PR Daily<\/strong><\/a> is the go-to site for improving my PR skills. The site\u2019s short, snappy articles, such as PR pros, make sure your pitch passes the 5-second test and How bridging puts your media interview back on track are quick to read and give helpful advice on how to keep your skill-set fresh.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.prnewsonline.com\/about\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">PR News<\/a> is very similar to PR Daily, although its articles tend to be more in-depth. I\u2019d utilize both, depending on how much time you have available.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.agilitypr.com\/pr-news\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Bulldog Reporter<\/strong><\/a> doesn\u2019t cover day-to-day PR news but does a fantastic job at taking studies from across the PR and marketing industries, condensing them down and making them relevant for a PR audience. Its weekly \u201cJournalist on the move\u201d feature can also help you keep track of your contacts.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.prweek.com\/us\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>PR Week<\/strong><\/a> is the daddy of them all, with regional-specific sites for the US, UK, Asia and the Middle East. Although it has some great cases studies, it\u2019s the site I find myself reading the least. This is mainly because much of the news focuses on the appointments, departures and the financial results of multinational PR and marketing companies \u2013 not something I find relevant in my day-to-day job at an independent, mid-sized agency in San Francisco.<\/li>\n<li>And finally, the <a href=\"http:\/\/apps.prsa.org\/StrategiesTactics\/Issues\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>PRSA\u2019s Strategies &amp; Tactics<\/strong><\/a> blog is a great source of information on the strategic and tactical aspects of our profession. In fact, Aaron Blank, CEO of PRGN member company <a href=\"https:\/\/feareygroup.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Fearey Group<\/a> in Seattle recently contributed an article on <a href=\"https:\/\/apps.prsa.org\/StrategiesTactics\/Articles\/view\/12497\/1168\/Changing_Places_Helping_Yourself_and_Others_in_a_N#.XLar8TBKjIX\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">how to transition into a new role<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I also called on our PRGN colleagues from across the globe to suggest the best PR trade titles in their markets. Here are just a few of their suggestions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Jonathan Klimke of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.publicrelations-germany.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Industrie-Contact<\/a> recommended German website <a href=\"https:\/\/pr-journal.de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>PR Journal<\/strong><\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Mark Paterson of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.curriecommunications.com.au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Currie Communications<\/a> in Australia said that his market is poorly served for PR news, with <strong>PR News Asia<\/strong> and PR Week\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.prweek.com\/asia\/news\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Asia site<\/strong><\/a> providing some coverage. However, marketing-focused site <a href=\"https:\/\/mumbrella.com.au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Mumbrella<\/strong><\/a> often covers PR stories.<\/li>\n<li>In Argentina, Dominique Biquard of <a href=\"http:\/\/identiapr.com\/en\/home\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Identia\/PR<\/a> highlights <a href=\"https:\/\/revistaimagen.com.ar\/amp\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Revista Imagen<\/strong><\/a> \u2013 a magazine with 14 years\u2019 experience in covering the business of communications and PR.<\/li>\n<li>France has three main sources of PR news, according to Stephane Billiet of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.we-agency.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">WE Agency<\/a>. <a href=\"http:\/\/culture-rp.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Culture RP<\/strong><\/a> offers insights from PR professionals, while <a href=\"http:\/\/www.leblogducommunicant2-0.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Le Blog Du Communicant<\/strong><\/a> provides deep and smart analyses on everything PR. Stephane also highlighted <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ladn.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>L\u2019and<\/strong><\/a>, which covers trends affecting the PR industry.<\/li>\n<li>Finally, Charmaine Jeeva of Malaysia\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.perspective.com.my\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Perspective Strategies<\/a> has two go-to sources for PR news \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marketing-interactive.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Marketing Interactive<\/strong><\/a>, which looks at communication and marketing campaigns in Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.prcamalaysia.org\/home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>PRCA Malaysia<\/strong><\/a>, which features key highlights, events and insights from across the Malaysian PR landscape.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Are there any sites I\u2019ve missed?
