Global passenger traffic has returned to pre-pandemic levels, with growth strongest in emerging regions (Asia-Pacific, Middle East, Latin America, Africa). Even as the sector rebounds, however, challenges exist on multiple fronts. These include supply chain issues, regulatory developments and of course the urgent need to decarbonise through more sustainable technologies and practices. Momentum is positive, with occasional patches of turbulence.
